The Colorado Association of Regional Organizations (CARO) announces the hiring of Devi Currin as their first coordinator. Currin is currently an accountant part-time at the Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments in Colorado Springs. She has 13 years of Business Administration experience and will be taking on the duties of CARO along with her current position.
CARO was organized in 2008 among interest regional organizations throughout Colorado’s 14 planning and management regions. The statewide association assists the regional organizations in strengthening their capabilities to serve their local government members; provides a forum for the regular exchange of information and ideas; and educates governmental entities, public and private organizations and the public about the services and functions of regional organizations.
CARO past Chair, Laura Lewis Marchino with the Region 9 Economic Development District of Southwest Colorado, said CARO is excited to take this next step. “Our organization would like to have committed staff support to help us build our capacity as organizations and work more closely with our state and federal partners. We are thrilled to have someone with Devi’s organization, and motivation to keep us connected across the state.”
Currin resides with her family in Peyton, Colorado and can be reached by emailing DeviCurrin@coloradoregions.org or calling 719-368-0778. For more information on CARO, go to http://coloradoregions.org/.
